From boingboing:

Photos of 200 calories worth of food.

In other news… I’m in California, back next week. Off for Thai tonight!

    It would have been helpful…

… if the photographer had provided something in those pictures to scale, e.g. a quarter, or dime.

  6. Um? Where are you, more specifically speaking, I mean?

    • (being lazy and posting from my main account)

I was in Templeton, just outside of Paso Robles, a bit north on the inland side of San Luis Obispo. We went to Basil, and it was okay. The company was fine and so the evening was a grand success, but I wouldn’t go back anytime soon. I guess it was all the pineapple that turned me off… big chunks in my Tom Yum soup (!) and their signature dish seemed to be a bunch of fried rice served in a scooped-out half pineapple.

We did get to have a bottle of local wine, which was nice (can’t for the life of me remember what it was, though).
